Roland Krainz Porsche Sprint Series 2021

Racing was always a childhood dream for Roland.  It all started with a Skip Barber 3-day racing school back in 2006 and continued into go karting after meeting multi-series champion, Stevan McAleer.  Roland spent the next few years at Monticello Motor Club and other northeast tracks building his confidence as each new generation of the Porsche Cayman was developed.  From 2014 to 2018, he did a lot of driving and racing in the Porsche Club, with 2 GT3 championships and 2nd overall in 2018.  He is known as a cautious driver that built his skills in lower horsepower cars first and has developed into a fast driver because of it.  Now, Roland’s dream is to race in the 24 Hours of LeMans with Stevan as his co-driver.

With 2021 as his main focus, he is looking forward to the new Porsche Sprint Series and competing against equally prepared cars and competitive drivers.

Roland will race in the Silver Class which consists of all Porsche 718 Cayman Clubsport MR’s from 2019-2021.  The 718 Clubsport MR is a factory-built race car featuring a 3.8, 6-Cylinder Naturally Aspirated boasting 425 bhp at 7500 rpm, a 6-speed PDK-gearbox (DCT, dual clutch transmission), big multi-piece steel 380mm brake discs, Motorsport three-way shock absorbers, a full FIA safety cage, and Michelin slick/rain tires.

Roland has been racing in the Porsche Club for over 6 years and has driven his way to 8 class wins, 29 class podiums, and 13 fastest lap times.

The Porsche Sprint Challenge 8 Race Events Total with 7 Championship Point Races that line up with select IndyCar / SRO / Porsche Weekends.  Each event will be held at a different premier destination track throughout the county as part of a global Porsche motorsport initiative.

Off the racetrack, Roland has been redefining elegance in jewelry for 40 years.  Born in Austria, he was a lazy student until he started learning a trade.  After four years of apprenticeship, he was one of the first to graduate with honors.  He moved to the United States in 1989 looking for better opportunities. After a few years working for others, he opened his own company, Krainz Creations.  He started by repairing/designing jewelry alone in his apartment with two simple theories: treat others as you want to be treated and deliver amazing quality for a fair price. That simple and powerful approach is how he still runs his business today.  Krainz Creations manufactures jewelry for all of the top brands in the industry.

Open this summer on 5th avenue, JAG New York will be offering Roland’s custom jewelry directly to the end customer.  Now, Roland will be able to show off his creativity and unique designs in a new format.  By innovatively merging state-of-the-art technology, advanced engineering and time-honored century-old approach to handcrafted jewelry design, Roland’s coveted creations achieve the highest quality.  The designs in platinum, gold, diamonds, exotic gems and precious gemstones, feature aesthetics that are both uniquely contemporary, yet elegantly timeless.
